Atambayev declared 2017 the Year of Morality, Education and Culture
Bishkek, Jan. 5 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed a decree "On declaring 2017 the Year of Morality, Education and Culture."
The Kyrgyz President’s press service reports that the decree says that global trends and modern technologies offer to the Kyrgyz Republic the prospects for greater opportunities, but along with positive changes they generate new challenges.
“Achieving the strategic development goals of the country in these conditions depends largely on the ability of the state and society to focus directly on the person, his morality and spirituality.
Implementation of the 2016 Year of History and Culture has received broad public support and has shown the importance of preserving historical and cultural heritage, the presence in these areas, a huge potential, which creates the basis for the formation of the modern Kyrgyz society.
The interest of citizens of Kyrgyzstan to the history of their country and nation is increased. The development of culture and processes of revival of spirituality received a new impetus. There is an understanding of the importance of preservation and development of ancient and original culture of Kyrgyzstan,” says in the decree.
The document states that the main wealth of the country is its citizens. And special efforts should be focused on children and youth. Kyrgyz citizens in the age of 25 make up more than half the country's population, this is a key resource of the Kyrgyz Republic, the foundation of its future prosperity.
The decree also say that in order to Kyrgyzstan was successfully developed, citizens, representatives of the younger generation should have a high internal culture, be well educated, brought up in the spirit of tolerance for different views and opinions and, of course, to know the history and culture of the native people.
“Therefore, the most important task of the state at the present stage is the formation of modern educational, cultural and information policy, education system based on their own history and culture,” says in the text of the decree.
The decree also assigns the Government of Kyrgyzstan to form an organizing committee and develop a plan of activities.
