Chinese cuisine in Bishkek within framework of Chinese Culture Week Bishkek, March 1, 2018 / Kabar /. Students and teaching staff of the Oriental Languages Department of Manas Kyrgyz-Turkish University organized an exhibition of Chinese cuisine.

The participants got an opportunity not only to learn about the cooking recipes and the kitchen in general, but also they could try the dishes prepared by the students. This event is included in the program of the Chinese Culture Week, which is organized in cooperation with the Confucius Institute of Bishkek Humanities University.

During the Chinese Culture Week students learned about the Chinese calligraphy, martial art.

Besides that the film in Chinese language was also organized.

At the end of the week, it is planned to hold a concert and there will be an official closing ceremony.

Premiere of Kazakh film Oralman will be held in Bishkek Bishkek, Feb.22, 2018 / Kabar /. The premiere of feature film Oralman by Kazakh Filmmaker Sabit Kurmanbekov will take place in Bishkek on March 3, the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The picture tells about the fate of the Kazakh family living in Afghanistan.

"A family had to flee from repression in Kazakhstan in 1930. Years later, the family gets a quota for resettlement in Kazakhstan and is going back,” the announcement said.

The film Oralman is recognized as the Best Asian Film at the 35th International Film Festival Fajr in Tehran.

The film also received Grand Prix at the XIII International Eurasia Film Festival in Astana and the Best Male Role award (Dulyga Akmolda) of the 13th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, Russia, 2017.

The premiere show will be held on March 3 at 4:00 p.m. in Bishkek at the House of Cinema named after Chyngyz Aitmatov.

Kyrgyzstan will take part in International Festival of Turkic Cinema in Kazan Bishkek, Feb. 20, 2018 / Kabar /. The capital of Tatarstan, Kazan will host the Festival of Turkic Cinema for the first time on March 21-25. The forum will be attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

The idea of ​​organizing the festival originated in 2017 at the first meeting of the Association of the Cinema of the Turkic World in Istanbul. The Association's management included well-known figures of cinema, including filmmaker Ogtay Mir-Kasym, film producer from Kazakhstan Kanat Torebai, filmmaker, producer, founder of the Kyrgyz film studio Aitysh Film, the Nika film prize winner Sadyk Sher-Niyaz, Soviet and Turkmen filmmaker, screenwriter and cameraman Khodzhakuli Narliev, Turkish filmmakers and producers Ismail Gyunesh and Fedayi Oztyurk, Russian film producer, Head of Tatarkino and Kazan International Muslim Film Festival Milyausha Ayutuganova.

Tatarstan was chosen as a venue of the first film forum. The decisive factor was the experience of the republic in holding the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival before. The festival is conceived as mobile: it is planned that the forum of the Turkic cinema will be "moved" annually from country to country, so the films will be presented to the widest possible target audience.

Within the framework of the Festival of Turkic Cinema, the festival participants - filmmakers from different countries will take part in the celebration of Nooruz. Within the framework of the forum there will also be a meeting of the executive committee of the Association of Cinema of the Turkic World.

Awards will not be presented at the festival, its current task is enlightenment. The main award will be-people, halls with full of audience, the cinematographers stressed.

Interactive exhibition of contemporary art on human rights opened in Bishkek Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2018 / Kabar /. An interactive exhibition of contemporary art on human rights In Search of Law was opened in Bishkek.

The purpose of the exhibition is to convey the main message, to stop being a silent witness of ignoring and violating rights because we are all used to be silent if we face injustice.

Literally in the dark, in search of the right, visitors of the exhibition were invited to experience different stories expressed through the language of art / art objects; entering into a dialogue with the mind, immersing into a situation where the rights of other people were violated.

The exhibition is organized by OYOUM Group. The exhibition is organized within the framework of the project by the Institute for Youth Development Civic Education of Youth through the Elements of Culture and Art. The project is funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

Kyrgyz film Father’s Will wins prize at Russian International Film Festival Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2018 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz film Father’s Will received the Prize of Press at the II International Film Festival named after Vyacheslav Tikhonov 17 Moments ... in Russia.

First Kyrgyz musical film to be shown soon Bishkek, Feb.6, 2018 / Kabar /. The first musical film in Central Asia, Song of the Tree by young film maker, Aybek Daiyrbekov will be shown in March 2018.

Kyrgyz film about Manas narrator Sayakbay will be shown in Turkey Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2018 / Kabar /. A film by Kyrgyz director Ernest Abdyzhaparov "Sayakbay. Homer of the XX century", dedicated to the life and work of Sayakbay Karalayev, the greatest narrator of the epic of Manas will be shown in Turkey, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey reported.

The film will be shown on Feb. 1 in Ankara.

The film is about the 20th-century Homer, more precisely, the great narrator of the epic of Manas Sayakbay Karalayev. Recalling his life, Manas narrator recalls the culminating historical events of the Kyrgyz and Soviet history. The main theme of the film is the mystery of the heroic trilogy "Manas". Sayakbay had a unique talent of narrating about the Kyrgyz hero.

Kyrgyzstan to shoot film about Kojomkul hero Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2018 / Kabar /. The Department of Cinematography of Kyrgyzstan has announced a competition for the best film script and for feature film maker on outstanding son of the Kyrgyz people, the hero Kaba uulu Kojomkul, the website of Kyrgyz cinema reported.

The competition will be held from January 22 to March 1, 2018. Applications for the competition are accepted until 5:00 pm of March 1, 2018.

Professional scriptwriters, filmmakers and writers who are citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic can take part in the competition. Proposals from candidates will be considered by an artistic and expert group. The application for participation must be sent to the postal address of the Department of Cinematography at the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Kojomkul Kaba uulu is a Kyrgyz strongman, a hero. According to legend, the hero bore a horse on his shoulders for a distance of 100 m. On the eastern outskirts of the village, Kojomkul’s mother was buried, on the grave of which he planted a huge stone weighing 160 kg. This stone he brought on his shoulders from the floodplain of the river, the distance between the grave and the river is several kilometers.

In honor of Kojomkul, the village where he was born is bearing his name. A museum is opened, where one can see huge stones, which, according to local residents, he raised on his shoulders. The name of Kojomkul is given to the Sports Palace in Bishkek. Next to the Sport Palace there is a monument to the hero with a horse on his shoulders.

Kyrgyz film Life is beautiful selected for International Film Festival in France Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz film Life is Beautiful by Azamat Sharshenov is included in the competition of documentary films of the 24th International Film Festival of Asian Cinema in France.

The festival will be held from Jan. 30 to Feb. 6 in French city of Vesoul, the webiste of Kyrgyz cinema reported.

The Art director of the International Film Festival in Vesoul, Bastian Meyerson after watching Azamat’s film answered him enthusiastically: ”This is an incredible documentary. Wonderful. I love it ... What a wonderful documentary!!!!"

Kyrgyzstan to shoot film about Chyngyz Aitmatov Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2018. / Kabar /. Cinematographers of Kyrgyzstan plan to shoot a full-length documentary-feature film about famous Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov under the provisional title "Aitmatov's World. The world without Aitmatov. "

The script of the film was written by writer Abylbilla Pazylov together with the composer, publicist Tugelbay Kazakov and the People's Artist of the Republic Bakyt Karagulov.

The son of the writer, public figure Askar Aitmatov coordinates the project.

After discussion and approval of the scenario at the Arts Council of Kyrgyzfilm, the Department of Cinematography at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism plans to allocate funds for the creation of the film.

The coordinator and the authors also intend to involve both domestic and foreign patrons in the project.

This year Kyrgyzstan marks the 90th anniversary of the great writer. In addition, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) declared 2018 the Year of Aitmatov.

Brussels gets acquainted with Kyrgyz folk music Bishkek, Jan. 18, 2018 / Kabar /. A concert of Kyrgyz folk music was held on Jan. 16 in Brussels (Belgium), the creative brand of the company Nomadstan, Umutay Abdyshova told Kabar News Agency.

Abdyshova said that Kyrgyz folk songs and musical compositions on traditional musical instrument komuz were presented to Belgian music lovers.

It was attended by members of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Kingdom of Belgium. Compatriots, as well as foreigners who were interested in traditions and cultures of the Kyrgyz Republic also attended the event.

"The whole evening the audience enjoyed live music on komuz, our compatriots even sang along and for a moment felt themselves at home," Abdyshova stressed.

During the concert, the Kyrgyz performer Kubat Tukeshov sang songs on komuz in different languages, thereby he amazed everyone with his talents.

Later the artists will perform for the compatriots who live in Germany and France.

Bishkek to host international festival of short films and animation Bishkek, Jan. 18, 2018 / Kabar /. Future Shorts - an international short film and animation festival will be held in Bishkek on Jan. 18 - 20, Capacity Building Foundation, the organizer of the festival reported.

Kyrgyz film Kinoman gets Certificate of Honor at International Film Festival in Poland Bishkek, Jan. 8, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz film Kinoman directed by Askar Nurakun uulu was awarded the Honorary Diploma of Jury at the 24th International Film Festival (IFF) of student films "Etiuda & Anima" in Krakow (Poland). The film is about a sincere story without words that shows the love to cinema, the Aitysh Film Studio reported.

The film festival "Etiuda & Anima" was held from Nov. 21 to 26, 2017. Cinemaforum is one of the most prestigious European shows where short films of different genres are shown, including animation.

Only student work is accepted for feature and documentary films competition “Competition of Etudes".

The "Anima" competition accepts the work of all professionals, regardless of their academic status and authors’ age. Within the framework of the festival, meetings are also held with outstanding masters from Polish school and masters of world cinema. The film festival is primarily aimed at younger generation, who have something to show and where there is much to learn.

The film directed by Askar Nurakun uulu Kinoman is his debut student work. The film tells the story of a small viewer whose attemp to see a movie failed. He is satisfied with the sounds of the familiar film where he was not allowed to enter. But thanks to his love and coincidence, he still manages to achieve what he wants. At the festival the film was awarded the Diploma of Honor "For a sincere story without words about the love to cinema".

The film is a joint production of the Aitysh Film Studio and Kyrgyz Turkish University Manas . The current film received the Grand Prix at Young Cinema Forum of CIS countries Umut which was held in Bishkek from Dec. 18 to Dec. 20, 2017.

Kyrgyz film Night Accident will be shown at Dhaka Film Festival Bishkek, Jan. 8, 2018 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz film Night Accident will be shown at the 16th International Film Festival (IFF) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which will be held from Jan. 12 to Jan 20, the website of Kyrgyz cinema reported
