Abdyshova said that Kyrgyz folk songs and musical compositions on traditional musical instrument komuz were presented to Belgian music lovers.

It was attended by members of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Kingdom of Belgium. Compatriots, as well as foreigners who were interested in traditions and cultures of the Kyrgyz Republic also attended the event.

"The whole evening the audience enjoyed live music on komuz, our compatriots even sang along and for a moment felt themselves at home," Abdyshova stressed.

During the concert, the Kyrgyz performer Kubat Tukeshov sang songs on komuz in different languages, thereby he amazed everyone with his talents.

Later the artists will perform for the compatriots who live in Germany and France.

Bishkek to host international festival of short films and animation Bishkek, Jan. 18, 2018 / Kabar /. Future Shorts - an international short film and animation festival will be held in Bishkek on Jan. 18 - 20, Capacity Building Foundation, the organizer of the festival reported.

The festival will feature five short films created by the directors of France, the Netherlands, Hungary, Portugal, who received the Oscar - 2017, the main prize of the Berlin Film Festival 2016, the prize of the Moscow International Film Festival for the best film short film competition in 2017.

The opening of the international festival of short films will be held on January 18 in "Asanbay Center" in Bishkek.

Future Shorts is the world's largest festival of short films and animations. Festival shows are held in more than 17 countries around the world 4 times a year.

The State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow invites everyone to the display of the film "Heat" based on Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov's story "Camel Eye", which will take place in the framework of the 90th birthday of Aitmatov and the retrospective of Larisa Shepitko's films for the 80th birthday of the director.

Kyrgyz film Kinoman gets Certificate of Honor at International Film Festival in Poland Bishkek, Jan. 8, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz film Kinoman directed by Askar Nurakun uulu was awarded the Honorary Diploma of Jury at the 24th International Film Festival (IFF) of student films "Etiuda & Anima" in Krakow (Poland). The film is about a sincere story without words that shows the love to cinema, the Aitysh Film Studio reported.

The film festival "Etiuda & Anima" was held from Nov. 21 to 26, 2017. Cinemaforum is one of the most prestigious European shows where short films of different genres are shown, including animation.

Only student work is accepted for feature and documentary films competition “Competition of Etudes".

The "Anima" competition accepts the work of all professionals, regardless of their academic status and authors’ age. Within the framework of the festival, meetings are also held with outstanding masters from Polish school and masters of world cinema. The film festival is primarily aimed at younger generation, who have something to show and where there is much to learn.

The film directed by Askar Nurakun uulu Kinoman is his debut student work. The film tells the story of a small viewer whose attemp to see a movie failed. He is satisfied with the sounds of the familiar film where he was not allowed to enter. But thanks to his love and coincidence, he still manages to achieve what he wants. At the festival the film was awarded the Diploma of Honor "For a sincere story without words about the love to cinema".

The film is a joint production of the Aitysh Film Studio and Kyrgyz Turkish University Manas . The current film received the Grand Prix at Young Cinema Forum of CIS countries Umut which was held in Bishkek from Dec. 18 to Dec. 20, 2017.

Kyrgyz film Night Accident will be shown at Dhaka Film Festival Bishkek, Jan. 8, 2018 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz film Night Accident will be shown at the 16th International Film Festival (IFF) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which will be held from Jan. 12 to Jan 20, the website of Kyrgyz cinema reported

Opera of Manas epic staged in China Bishkek, Jan 6, 2018. /Kabar/. The second opera premiere of the Manas epic in Chinese was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province of China on Jan. 4-5, 2018, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The opera was staged with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of China and the Chinese National Opera Institute based on the version of Manas epic by Jusup Mamai.

The first premiere of opera of Manas epic in Chinese was held in Beijing on Sept. 30, 2017, on the eve of the national holiday of China, the 68th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China" (Oct. 1), and also for the first time in the history of independent Kyrgyzstan.

The script was prepared by Wen Xiaolin, a well-known screenwriter of the first category in China.

It should be noted that the fruitful work on preparing the opera on the epic of Manas was conducted for two years. More than 100 artists from state theaters of China took part in the production of the opera.

The both operas included two parts of the main content of the epic of Manas and Semetey, showing the great victories, exploits and life story of Manas hero, the life and achievements of Manas’s son Semetey, who repeats his father's heroism and achieves victory over foreign invaders.

Kyrgyzstan and Argentina intend to actively cooperate in the field of culture, information and tourism from 2018. Cartoon on epic "Manas" in 3D format to be made in Kyrgyzstan Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2017 / Kabar /. A full-length animated cartoon based on Kyrgyz epic “Manas" in 3D format is planned to be made in Kyrgyzstan. Currently, an agreement has been reached with an international company specializing in large-scale animation projects. Preliminary scenario has also been prepared.

Bishkek presents three-volume epic "Manas” in Turkish language Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2017 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz epic “Manas” was translated into Turkish. The translation was based on the version of the famous narrator Sagymbay Orozbakov. The official presentation ceremony took place at the Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas" in Bishkek.

The congratulatory speech at the event was made by the head of the Presidential Administration Department of Ethnic, Religious Policy and Interaction with Civil Society, Mira Karybaeva.

She stressed that the epic is published in three volumes; it can be read both in Kyrgyz and Turkish. It was published according to the legendary narrator Sagymbay Orozbakov, who would have turned to 150 years old this year.

The epic "Manas" is a heroic asset of Kyrgyz people that made a huge contribution to the treasury of world culture", said Karybaeva. She recalled that the epic "Manas" was included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO in 2014.

On the first page of the book one can read the words of former President Almazbek Atambayev: Dear readers! "Manas" is a heroic epic of Kyrgyz people and made a significant contribution to the treasury of world culture. Our ancestors preserved the spiritual wealth of Manas the Magnanimous and passed it to their descendants. The epic reflects the centuries-old culture of Kyrgyz people, its traditions and customs.

The translation of 1840-page book of epic “ Manas” according to the version of narrator of Sagymbay Orozbakov from Kyrgyz into Turkish was started in early 2016 by the initiative and support of Almazbek Atambayev.

The book’s work of translation, editing and publishing took more than a year. The translated version is a three-volume and consists of 3,700 pages of printed text.

To date, 4,5 thousand copies of the book have been printed with the support of the Union of Communities of Turkic-speaking World (UCTW) and personally by the Secretary General of the organization Mr. Fakhri Solak. It was also decided to place the book in PDF format in free access on the web site of UCTW.

The project was coordinated by T. Koenaliev, Renat Tuleberdiev, doctor Fakhri Solak. Editor: Najie Ata Yildiz. Translators into Turkish: Abdrasul Isakov, Bakyt Sagynbekov, Guldana Bargybai, Ibrahim Turkhan and Mirlanbek Nurmatov.

The epic "Manas" was also translated into Russian, Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Farsi and a number of other languages.

Kumtor will become general sponsor of Third Nomad Games Bishkek, Dec. 15, 2017 / Kabar /. Kumtor will be the main sponsor of the Third World Nomad Games, which is to be held in Kyrgyzstan in Sept. 2018, member of the board of directors of Centerra Gold Inc Eduard Kubatov told at the official ceremony of presentation of the games in Bishkek.

The Kumtor gold deposit is 100% owned by the Canadian gold mining company Centerra Gold Inc. The government of Kyrgyzstan owns a part of the company's shares.

Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov’s work to appear in Korean language Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2017 / Kabar/. The works of the great Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, translated into Korean will possibly be passed to Aitmatov Center located at the National Library, the National Library press service reported.

Today, Ambassador of Korea in Kyrgyzstan Jong Beng Hu handed the Korean Center at the National Library a collection of books, as well as DVDs and CDs in Korean and English.

Ambassador met with readers and employees of the National Library. During the meeting he said that these books will be of interest to young people and all those who are interested in Korean culture and literature.

Jong Beng Hu stressed the Literature Day in Kyrgyzstan, which is directly connected with the name of the great writer Chyngyz Aitmatov. 10 works of the writer have been translated into the Korean language. The ambassador told he will try to transfer them to the Aitmatov Center in future.

National library director Zhyldyz Bakashova thanked the Ambassador for the constant attention and support to the library that the Embassy of Korea in Kyrgyzstan is providing. She suggested the Ambassador of discussing to conduct a photo-documentary exhibition on Korean culture, literature and history.

Moldo Kylych Shamykan (Shamyrkan) uulu was born in 1866 in the Bugu area in Kochkor valley.

He is one of the founders of Kyrgyz literature. His work "Zilzala", printed on Arabic alphabet, was published in Kazan in 1911. This work was the first printed work of Kyrgyz literature.

VII International Film Festival “Kyrgyzstan is the country of short films" opened in Bishkek Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2017 /Kabar/. The opening of the VII International Film Festival (IFF) "Kyrgyzstan is a country of short films" in Bishkek timed to the birthday of Chyngyz Aitmatov, the Department of the IFF of the CIS, the Baltic States , Georgia and Kyrgyzstan countries reported.

Kyrgyz film "Sayakbai" includes in long-list of Golden Globe Award Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2017. /Kabar/.The Kyrgyz filmmaker Ernest Abdyzhaparov’s “Sayakbai. Homer of the XX century was included in the long-list of the nomination "Best Foreign Film" of the Golden Globe Award, the contest website reported.

More than 60 dancers take part in the New Year 3D ballet. Kyrgyz designers and architects worked on ballet dancers’ dresses and decorations. Famous London graphic designer Sang Gun Kim was invited for creation of 3D mapping and for a light show in 3D measurement. Music from the ballet "The Nutcracker" will be performed by the Symphony Orchestra of the Opera and Ballet Theater A.Maldybaeva under the direction of maestro Polotov.

Manas epic presented in Berlin in German Bishkek, Nov. 23, 2017 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz Manas epic presented in German in the version of famous German scholar-researcher, linguist and turkologist William Radlov in Berlin, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The Radlov version of the Manas epic was published in 1885 in St. Petersburg with the support of the commissioners of the Royal Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg, Riga and Leipzig.

After many years, the part of Manas epic by Radlov in German was re-issued in Berlin with the support of the Honorary Consuls of Kyrgyzstan in Germany at the initiative of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Germany.

Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan in Bremen, Dr. Eberhard Haas made special contribution to this publication, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Germany Erines Otorbaev stressed the importance of Manas epic, which reflects the history, culture and traditions of Kyrgyz people.

Representatives of the Office of the Chancellor, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Bundestag, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, the diplomatic corps, as well as representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora and a wide range of public of Germany took part in the presentation.

The event was held by the Kyrgyz Embassy in the framework of the presidential decree "On the Establishment of the Days of History and the Memory of the Ancestors". The presentation was also very symbolic in the year of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Germany.

Kyrgyz film “Father’s Will " wins prize at Russian festival Bishkek, Nov. 23, 2017. /Kabar/.The Kyrgyz film "The Will of the Father" won the "Special Jury Prize" at the XIV international military-patriotic festival film named after S.F. Bondarchuk "Volokolamsky boundary" in Russia.

The festival was held from Nov. 16 to 20 in Volokolamsk city, said the film producer Dastan Zhapar uulu.

The festival presented 43 films to the audience from 18 participating states : Russia, Belarus, Germany, Georgia, India, Spain, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Syria, USA, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, France and Estonia.

"We express our gratitude to the organizers of the film festival. Many thanks for appreciating our film," Japar uulu said.

“Father’s Will " film earlier won the prize "For Best Producer’s Work" at the 5th Asian International Film Festival in Barcelona.

"Father's Will” is a social drama directed by Bakyt Mukul and Dastan Zhapar uulu touches upon the issue of migration not only of the Kyrgyz people, but of the whole modern society in general. The film also won the main prize "Golden Zenith" as the best debut film.

Kyrgyz Women filmmakers conduct film forum Bishkek, Nov. 21, 2017. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Women filmmakers conduct film forum in Bishkek , the foundation "Creative Women of Asia" reported.

On December 17, 2016, at the Chingiz Aitmatov House of Cinema, First Film Forum of Kyrgyz Women Filmmakers was conducted. The forum was dedicated to the Year of History and Culture and to the 75th anniversary of the Kyrgyz cinema. More than fifteen participants presented to the audience their short films made in different periods of time. The purpose of the forum was to acquaint the public with Kyrgyz women filmmakers and hold a discussion.

This year the film forum will be held on December 22-23. "Our second film forum will last for two days. On the first day of, a master class for women filmmakers will be held. On the second day, fiction (story) films and documentaries will be shown”, the organizers said.

Within the framework of the film forum, female filmmakers will show their films to the public and they will have the opportunity to exchange experiences.Creative Kyrgyz filmmakers will also have an opportunity to get informed about the International festivals, grants and to advance their career in general. They also can participate in master classes of famous and experienced women filmmakers.

“ The Creative Women of Asia” Foundation was established in 2013. Founders of it are Asel Zhuraeva and Aigerim Birnazarova. The main goal of the foundation is to support the creativity of Asian women, to protect the rights of creative women, and also to help them promote their various ideas, works, and projects.

“ The Creative Women of Asia” Foundation works closely with the filmmaking companies such as Kyrgyzfilm, Tazar Cinema Company, Aitysch Film, SEAStudio, and with women's rights organizations. UAE plans to show films based on the work of Kyrgyz writer Aitmatov Bishkek, Nov. 21, 2017. /Kabar/. On the territory of the United Arab Emirates, it is planned to show feature films based on the works of the classic world literature writer Chyngiz Aitmatov.
