It was held on a circular system and only 10 chess players from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic and the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the event.

International master Tologontegin performed in the tournament "B". With 7.5 points he turned out to be on the 1 line of the tournament.

First Skiing Fan Club opened in suburbs of Bishkek Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2018 / Kabar /. The first Skiing Fan Club was opened in Kara Jygach village of Chui oblast, the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

At the opening of the first season, sportsman Tariel Jarkynbaev took part. Jarkynbaev got a license for upcoming Winter Olympic Games in cross-country skiing. Other participants were Jarkynbaev’s trainer Alexander Levdansky, the founders and organizers of the Skiing Fan Club and children's sport clubs.

The Vice President of the Golf Federation of Kyrgyzstan Konstantin Surikov said that on the basis of the golf club since early 2018, skiing track for more than 6 kilometers has been organized.

Surikov added that this work is carried out in order to support the development of winter sports. "Only one athlete from Kyrgyzstan will take part in ski races this year, but if we develop skiing sport among the young generation, we will have more participants in future. We will help our skiers," he said.

He also added that the prices for skiing is reasonable, it costs 350 soms for a set of skiers for the whole day without paying a fee for the route.

Head of the State Agency Kanat Amankulov said that domestic businessmen are supporting sport very well. "Today we witnessed the opening of a new base for cross-country skiers near Bishkek. It is very active and less traumatic. The cross-country skiing has its own great history. Opening the Skiing Fan Club is another step forward," he said.

Amankulov added that Tariel Jarkynbaev will go to Kazakhstan for training camps. "There are problems with inventory, but soon we will buy him a new set of competitive skis," the Head of the State Agency promised.

Athletes from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will take part in it. Kyrgyzstan will also be represented by the strongest skiers.

According to the rules of the International Ski Federation (FIS), there are championships and World Cups, Olympic Games and international competitions.

Third World Nomad Games will include 37 kinds of sports Bishkek, Jan. 15, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan to host horseball championship Bishkek, Jan. 8, 2018. / Kabar /. The second regional horseball championship will be held in Toktogul town of Jalal-Abad oblast, president of the Horseball Federation of Kyrgyzstan told Kabar Agency.

He said that the championship is scheduled for Jan. 25. Five teams from Toktogul region will take part in it. The winner among the local teams will play with the team from France.

The first regional horseball championship was held in Feb. 2017.

Horseball is a French sport that combines elements of basketball and rugby, but on horseback. Kyrgyz National Judo Federation awards the best judo players Bishkek, Dec. 26, 2017. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Judo Federation awarded the best 2017 judo players and coaches on Dec 24.

Kanat Amankulov, director of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sport of the Kyrgyz Republic, took part in the festive event. He said that there always be good achievements in the federation, where there is discipline. Amankulov specified that there are both figures and facts and the people were convinced of this during the Asian Championship that was held at a high level. "This year we held five Asian Championships in Kyrgyzstan, but the Asian championship, which was conducted by the Judo Federation jointly with the State Agency is exceptional," Kanat Amankulov said.

Hockey players from Kyrgyzstan win silver at Asian Challenge Cup (U-20) Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2017 / Kabar /The national hockey team of Kyrgyzstan (U-20) for the first time in its history wins silver at Asian Youth Challenge Cup this year, the vice president of Kyrgyzstan Hockey Federation, Elzar Bolotbekov told. Kyrgyz hockey players in total scored 9 points and won the honorary second place.

The winner of the cup was the host of the tournament – Malaysia. Philippines’s team won bronze medal.

The tournament was held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on Dec. 12 - 17. Teams of Kyrgyzstan, India, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Philippines and Malaysia took part in the event.

Osh State University student Altynai Mamarasul kyzy in the 70 kg weight category among the girls took part in the completion and won the first place.

Swimmer from Kyrgyzstan wins 3 gold medals at International Tournament in Russia Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2017. /Kabar/. Swimmer from Kyrgyzstan, Elizaveta Rogozhnikova, won three gold and one silver medals at an International Swimming Tournament. It was organized for the Cup of 4-time Olympic champion Alexander Popov in Russia.

The tournament was held on Dec. 8 - 10 in Kazan, Russia, the Kyrgyz Swimming Federation reported. More than 500 best swimmers from the regions of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Germany took part in it.

Rogozhnikova already became the winner of this prestigious tournament at a distance of 400 m freestyle - 4.33.12. After that she won a silver medal - 2.26.22, at a distance of 200 m complex swimming, setting a new record for Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the tournament, the team from Kyrgyzstan took the third team place. Thus, Rogozhnikova became the most titled participant of the tournament. International Judo Cup tournament takes place in Bishkek Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2017. /Kabar/. The traditional VIII International Judo Tournament "Khan Manas Cup" will be held in Bishkek on Dec.16 and 17, President of National Judo Federation Zholdoshbek Kolbaev told at a press conference today.

For the last 2 years judo players from Kazakhstan won the Khan Manas Cup. "We hope that Kyrgyzstan will win the Cup this year” said Kolbaev.

The strongest judo players from the neighboring countries of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Iran will come to current event of international level. In total, 16 sets of medals will be played among athletes born in 1997-1999. Kolbaev also said that the competition to date has become one of the largest tournaments in Central Asia. In future he hopes that this sport will gain world status.

Judo is a priority sport in Kyrgyzstan and is developing massively. The tournament is organized by the Public Association "Kyrgyz El" (Kyrgyz People) in cooperation with the Kyrgyz State Agency for Physical Culture, Sports and the National Judo Federation.

Thai boxing championship takes place in Bishkek Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2017. /Kabar/.Junior championship in Thai boxing (IFMA) was held yesterday in Bishkek, Thai Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The tournament was dedicated to protection of snow leopard. About 100 sportsmen from eight sports clubs of Bishkek and Chui oblast took part.

"From year to year the popularity of Thai boxing is growing and it is very encouraging. It should be noted that now special attention is paid to children's sport. This championship is conducted in order to improve the qualification level of young athletes. Thus children must have more competitions among each other," the Federation reported.

Asian Championship on Wrestling to be held in Bishkek Bishkek, Dec. 8, 17 / Kabar /. Bishkek will host the Asian Championships in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling among adults in Feb. 2018. The inspection committee of the United World of Wrestling (UWW), headed by the president of the Asian Federation of Wrestling (UWW-Asia) Daulet Turlykhanov, visited Bishkek to monitor.

The members of the delegation visited the place of the championship – Sport and Recreation center "Gazprom", Federaton of Wrestling of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Arrival issues, accommodation, accreditation of teams, transportation and medical services for the participants of the competition, holding official ceremonies and press conferences were discussed by members of the organizing committee.

Asian Championship among adults earlier was held in Kyrgyzstan in 2007. Bishkek hosted the Asian Championship among the Cadets in 2012.
