Astana, Dec. 25, 2017. / Kabar /. "Everything was not like at the official negotiations, but it was like at a working meeting, many issues were solved fraternally," said Head of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Zheenbekov during extended format meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, as part of his official visit to Astana.

At a meeting in a narrow format, a number of issues were discussed in detail. "Many questions were resolved fraternally, you gave a number of instructions. The Kyrgyz side will also make maximum efforts to resolve existing issues," Zheenbekov said.

The Kyrgyz president pointed out that there are good indicators for trade, for the last 10 months of this year the trade volume has increased by 19%.

"Since the signing of roadmap for trade and economic cooperation, cooperation in the field of tax and customs administration, as well as cooperation in the sphere of phytosanitary and veterinary control, the ministries and departments of Kyrgyzstan are actively working, and now a number of instructions have been given. We hope that on the basis of these documents, many issues will be resolved,"said Zheenbekov, who spoke all this time in Kyrgyz language.

At this moment, Nazarbayev interrupted him and said: "Forgive me, there are many Kazakhs among us who do not understand the Kyrgyz language much, they are not like me. For this reason, I also switched to Russian language a bit earlier," Nazarbayev said.

Zheenbekov continued his speech in Russian and specified that Kyrgyzstan hopes to use all the opportunities within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), pointing out that the essential part of Kyrgyz products pass through Kazakhstan.

The President of Kyrgyzstan stressed that at the crossing of the state border there are restrictions on posts. "You have now given instructions to ease restrictions when crossing the border. We are also working in alleviating this issue from our side, "Zheenbekov said.
