BISHKEK, Aug. 9, 2017 /Kabar/. Prime Minister Sooronbai Zheenbekov met with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in the framework of a two-day working visit to Turkey on August 8, in Istanbul. The meeting was held in the "question-answer" format.
Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev, Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Tugolbai Kazakov, Minister of Education and Science Gulmira Kudaiberdieva and Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkey Ibrahim Zhunusov also took part in the meeting.
The people of Kyrgyzstan touched upon the problems related to the provision of public services, in particular issuing of various documents to citizens by the Consulate General of our country in Istanbul. They also received answers to questions on education, support of young specialists, assistance to Kyrgyz citizens arriving in Turkey for treatment.
Zheenbekov expressed gratitude to the representatives of the Diaspora for the fact that they were able to unite all Kyrgyz people in Turkey, strengthen the "Friendship and Culture Society of Kyrgyzstan".
"You are making a great contribution to the development of Kyrgyz-Turkish relations. In addition, you conduct significant work in all areas of assistance to compatriots, including legal support for students studying in Turkey," Zheenbekov said.
The Prime Minister noted that representatives of the Diaspora also took an active part in solving organizational issues related to the opening in Istanbul of the monument to the hero of the Manas epic and the presentation of the book of Manas translated into Turkish.
The Kyrgyz prime minister also told about economic policy, export potential within the framework of the country's integration into the Eurasian Economic Union, the EU’s GSP + status, which allows to supply more than 6,000 products to the European market, without taxation. Zheenbekov emphasized that the government is always open to dialogue and considers one of its most important duties the provision of assistance to Kyrgyz people outside the country.
