Bishkek, May 31 / Kabar /. The World Bank intends to raise a grant loan for the implementation of the Digital CASA project from $ 20 up to 50 million, senior specialist of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communication of the Kyrgyz Republic Elina Sakkaraeva told journalists.
She said that today the World Bank has approved a grant loan for the amount of $ 20 million.
"To date, the World Bank has announced its intention to raise up to $ 50 million, because they have seen that the already agreed funds will not cover the entire amount of infrastructure costs," she said.
Sakkaraeva stressed that already agreed grant of $ 20 million will not be enough to cover the cost for cyber security.
"The security of the entire information space of the country is a very important and integral part of the protection of data of the country. By the way, the Digital CASA project is the core of the Taza Koom project. Taza Koom is a digital program, and Digital CASA is the creation of an infrastructure. Cyber security will be included in both projects," added Elina Sakkaraeva.
