Bishkek, Apr. 11, 2018 / Kabar /. The World Health Organization (WHO) will assist Kyrgyzstan in implementing e-health. The agreement on support was reached during the meeting of Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development Erkin Checheibaev with head of WHO country office in the Kyrgyz Republic Jarno Habicht.
WHO will provide technical support for the examination of concept documents, strategies for digital health development.
The sides also discussed issues of closer cooperation in other areas, with more active involvement of WHO technical coordinators in the country in the areas of activity.
"WHO is supporting the health care system in many ways," Checheibaev said. "We hope that with your technical support, the introduction of e-health in the healthcare organizations of the republic will significantly accelerate and the Ministry of Health will be able to improve the quality of medical care, especially in the regions."
"E-health is one of the priorities, its successful implementation is important for people's health in Kyrgyzstan," said Jarno Habicht. "I am sure that by joining forces and investing in strengthening the health system, WHO and the government can achieve real results in the medium and long term in support of sustainable development."
