Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister to visit Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Aug. 8, 2017. /Kabar/. On August 7, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Zheenbekov had a telephone conversation with his Uzbek counterpart Abdullah Aripov. The heads of the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan discussed preparations for the next meetings of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation and an intergovernmental commission for the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.

"We will be glad to see you and the delegation of Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan," Sooronbai Zheenbekov said.

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov will arrive in Kyrgyzstan to attend regular meetings of intergovernmental commissions that will be held from August 15 to 17 in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.

During the conversation, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov confirmed the readiness of the Uzbek side to conduct Days of Uzbek Culture in Kyrgyzstan in October this year. He also thanked the Kyrgyz side for the timely assistance to Uzbek citizens, who were killed on August 3, 2017 in an auto accident on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Prime Minister Sooronbai Zheenbekov thanked the Uzbek side for the decision to build a school in the city of Osh.

For reference: on August 5, 2017, 6 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who were injured in a car accident in Issyk-Kul oblast were taken to the Republican Scientific Research Center for Emergency Medicine in the city of Tashkent.
