Governor of Issyk-Kul oblast Uzarbek Zhylkybaev received a delegation from the city of Ankara (Turkey) consisting of vice mayor of the municipality of Kechi-Oron of Ankara Ferhat Erdogan, consultant of the mayor Adnan Baloglu, deputy of the Council Fatih Tezcan, director of foreign relations Mustafa Arach.
During the meeting Zhylkybaev expressed gratitude for the visit and said that the Issyk-Kul region has a great potential that needs to be developed jointly.
"I am honored to receive you in our region, because we should learn a lot from Turkey in particular, the development of the tourism industry. We have both mountains and a wonderful lake, where one can develop year-round tourism. I hope that you will provide support and qualitative consultations in this direction," the governor said.
In turn, vice mayor of the municipality of Keçi-Oron, Ankara, Ferhat Erdogan expressed his readiness to provide all-round support.
"Turkey is currently a socially-economically strong country and we are ready to provide all the necessary support to the fraternal people, only through joint efforts we can come to success," Erdogan said.
In addition, the head of the region invited Ferhat Erdogan to participate in the Third World Nomad Games, which will be held in early September this year.
"I would like to take this opportunity to invite you and the mayor to take part as a guest at the Third World Nomad Games that will be held on the territory of our region," he added.
It should be noted that in October 2017 an agreement on partnership was signed in Ankara with the Mayor of the Kechioren district of Ankara and the Karakol Mayor’s Office of Kyrgyzstan.
