Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2018 / Kabar /. Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov met with the Trade Mission of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the press service of the Ministry reported.
Greeting the delegation the Kyrgyz Minister dwelled on the national Taza Koom program being implemented in Kyrgyzstan, the goal of which is to build an open and transparent digital state, improve the quality of life and business conditions.
“We will be happy if we find a common understanding in financing of this project," the minister said.
Robin Ord-Smith, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Kyrgyzstan, thanked for the warm welcome and for organizing the event.
"We welcome your desire to expand our economic relations and are ready to consider the above-mentioned projects to attract investments," the ambassador said at the meeting.
In conclusion, Novikov said that currently the work is being carried out on the main three projects. "This is Taza Koom project; increase in exports, as you know, the Kyrgyz Republic has positioned as a country of environmentally friendly agricultural products and we are ready to consider the possibilities of supply to markets of Great Britain; and the third is the development of regions where we have many resources, both energy, natural, and human, "the minister concluded.
The first trade mission from Great Britain was held on February 27, 2017 in Bishkek. 16 British companies met with representatives of business, ministries and international organizations. The delegation of British companies was headed by British Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Robin Ord-Smith and director of British Expertise Nigel Peters.
