Seoul, March 5, 2018 / Kabar/. The World Journalists Conference 2018 has started here in Seoul, South Korea on Monday.
The conference brought together about 70 journalists from 50 countries of the world, including two from Kyrgyzstan.
This year’s topic of the conference is “Role of press for Denuclearization of Korean Pensula and World Peace”
President of Journalists Association of Korea Jung Kyu Sung welcoming the journalists expressed hope that participants of the conference will share their views and have discussion in the hope of the world peace.
“As journalists from all over the world have gathered here for this conference being held in Seoul, South Korea, which is the only divided country in the world, I kindly of ask to share your valuable thoughts,’ he said.
The conference is organized by the Journalists Association of Korea, which the country’s biggest media body with its over 200 company members and 10 thousand journalists.
JAK, established in 1964, makes efforts to enhance capabilities of journalists by hosting various forums and seminars.
