Bishkek, March 15 / Kabar /. The first meeting of the Saudi-Kyrgyz Joint Committee was held on March 14-15, 2017 in the city of Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
The co-chairs of the meeting were Jamshitbek Kalilov, Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic and Abdurrahman bin Abdulmohsina Al-Fadli, Minister of Environment, Water Resources and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in the field of economy, trade, investment, industry, agriculture, energy, transport, civil aviation, roads, water resources, higher education, health, labor, consular relations, migration, science and technology. Long-term steps to develop Kyrgyz-Saudi cooperation in various fields have been agreed.
The meeting was held in a friendly, businesslike and constructive atmosphere. The sides unanimously believe that the establishment of the Joint Committee will be a good beginning for further cooperation between the two countries.
Representatives of business circles and companies of Kyrgyzstan also took part in the work of the Committee.
As a result of the meeting, a joint protocol of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee was signed.
