Bishkek, July 21 / Kabar /. Negotiations on disputable sections of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan take place taking into account mutual interests and based on the principles laid down in the treaty on eternal friendship, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Anvar Nasyrov, who took part in the International Forum "Altai civilization and related peoples of the Altaic language family" in Bishkek told Kabar Agency.
He said that yesterday, July 20, a government delegation, experts arrived in Bishkek, who will discuss with the Kyrgyz colleagues the issue of determining the state border line within a week.
"I want to note that all the talks held every month took place in the spirit of constructivism, in an open atmosphere, on the basis of the principles laid down in the treaty of eternal friendship. That is, taking into account mutual interests. We hope that all the issues will be resolved in the near future in the light of mutual interests," he said.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan did not comment on how many sites between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan remain uncoordinated.
The total length of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border is 1378 km, of which 320 km have not yet been specified.
