Swiss citizen dies on the shore of Issyk-Kul lake

BISHKEK, Aug. 11, 2017 / Kabar /. A Swiss citizen died in the village of Tamchi in Issyk-Kul oblast, who was vacationing with his family in one of the boarding houses, head of the press service of the regional police department, Stalbek Usubakunov, told Kabar.

He said that, the police received a call today at approximately 8:40 am that there is a man on the shore of the lake, not giving signs of life. Then the police officers found the corpse of a man of European nationality on the shore of the lake.

"After the interrogation of eyewitnesses it was found out that the man, born in 1943, is a Swiss citizen who came to rest with his wife. His wife is a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, and they have long lived in Bishkek. She also said that her husband had heart problems and in the morning he complained about poor health," Usubakunov said.

He added that during the examination of the body signs of violent death were not found. At the moment, an examination is being conducted to establish the exact cause of death.
