Bishkek, Oct.3, 2019. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov received Baghdad Amreyev, the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking Countries( CCTS).
According to the press service of the Parliament, the speaker, having warmly greeted Amreyev, said that he is pleased to meet during the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Nakhchivan Agreement on the establishment of the CCTS. He also noted Amreyev's fruitful work as Secretary General of the Council.
“The Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to economic cooperation between Turkic countries. We are pleased to see how the economic potential of our countries is developing, which can be successfully used to implement various joint projects. Kyrgyzstan, for its part, creates favorable conditions for investors, including the Council’s member states, to successfully implement projects in various areas,” the speaker said.
Dzhumabekov also noted close economic integration among the member states of the Council contributes to the creation of larger markets for national producers and consumers, and ensures economic growth.
In turn, the Secretary General thanked Dzhumabekov for his warm welcome. He spoke about the work, carried out by the Council of Turkic-Speaking Countries over the years, and active participation of Kyrgyzstan in the rapprochement of the Turkic peoples.
“Our main goal is the rapprochement and harmonization of the Turkic peoples. We are pleased that Kyrgyzstan is taking an active part in this process,” Amreyev said.
Amreyev also said the CCTS plans to create an investment and integration fund, which will increase the trade and economic potential of the Council participants.
