Dushanbe, Feb.1, 2018 / Kabar /. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov arrived in Tajikistan for official visit.
At the international airport of Dushanbe, Sooronbay Jeenbekov was met by Prime Minister of Tajikistan Rasulzoda Kokhir, the press service of the Kyrgyz President’s Office reported.
At the airport, a company of honor guard was arranged, flags of two countries were hanged out.
Within the framework of two-day official visit, Jeenbekov’s meetings with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon are scheduled in narrow and expanded formats, which will result in signing of a number of documents. The Heads of the two states will make a joint statement.
Jeenbekov will also hold meetings with the Prime Minister of Tajikistan and with Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, Shukurjon Zuhurov.
The main political document will be the signing of a joint statement by the presidents, which reflects the intentions and agreements on the whole range of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation.
Among the documents for signing are: the Program of Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Governments of the two republics, the Agreement on Cooperation between the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Agency for Combating Economic Crimes of Tajikistan.
The sides intend to activate bilateral cooperation between the Ministries of Health and the Ministries of Culture by signing the prepared agreements, as well as to sign the Agreement on cooperation in the field of certification of scientific and pedagogical personnel of the highest qualification.
During the visit, the Intergovernmental document on the order of stay of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic on the territory of Tajikistan and citizens of Tajikistan on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic will be signed. The Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries will be signed as well. In addition, negotiations on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border will be held.
The visit of the Kyrgyz President to Dushanbe will be completed tomorrow on Feb.2. Sooronbay Jeenbekov received the invitation to visit Tajikistan from Emomali Rahnon in Tajik’s President’s congratulatory message on the occasion of Jeenbekov’s victory in the presidential elections in the Kyrgyz Republic.
