Slovenia interested in expanding ties with Kyrgyzstan: President Pahor

Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2017 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Austria and Slovenia Bakyt Dzhusupov on November 15, 2017 presented his credentials to President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the audience Dzhusupov received congratulations on behalf of Kyrgyz President Atambayev on the occasion of the victory in the presidential elections. It was noted that this fact attests to the confidence of the people of Slovenia in the elected president, the recognition of merit in improving the welfare of the Slovenian people, the preservation of peace and harmony in society. At the same time, the ambassador informed about the internal political and economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, the results of the presidential elections and the ongoing reforms in the country.

The Kyrgyz side noted that Kyrgyzstan intends to keep a consistent course for activating the Kyrgyz-Slovenian cooperation and deepening cooperation in the international arena.

In turn, President Pahor expressed interest in expanding trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between Slovenia and Kyrgyzstan, and also noted the existing potential for the development of a political dialogue between the states. At the end of the meeting, the Slovenian leader wished Ambassador Dzhusupov a successful mission and expressed his hope for further expansion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
