Tashkent, July 17 / Kabar /. Gosavianadzor of Uzbekistan, at a meeting with the delegation of Kyrgyzstan led by Deputy Minister of Transport of the Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulmira Abdralieva, discussed a new aspect of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of air transportation, the press service of the National Air Company "Uzbekistan Airways" reported.
Gulmira Abdralieva said that Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic said that, comprehensive development and further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan are one of the key directions of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy.
"We express our gratitude to the government of Uzbekistan and its aviation authorities for the resumption of charter flights Tashkent-Issyk-Kul-Tashkent. This is the first meeting of the aviation authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan over the past nine years, "she said.
The meeting participants discussed the issues of flights from Tashkent and other cities of Uzbekistan to the international Issyk-Kul airport "Tamchy", the definition of a new air carrier from the Kyrgyz side on the Bishkek-Tashkent flight.
The focus was on the prospects of expanding the geography of flights between countries, in particular, increasing the frequency of flights by the national air carrier of Uzbekistan on the route Tashkent-Bishkek-Tashkent from 2 to 4 times a week.
Following the meeting, the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the leadership of the National Air Company "Uzbekistan Airways" signed a protocol of negotiations on further development of cooperation. Both sides expressed their confidence in fruitful cooperation to increase the tourist flow between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and increase the tourist potential of both countries.
