Kyrgyz Interior Ministry interested in experience of Russian police

Bishkek, Apr. 20, 2018 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Russia to the Kyrgyz Republic Andrei Krutko met with Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kursan Asanov.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that a number of issues were discussed during the meeting regarding further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating crime and ensuring public order.

In his speech, Asanov stressed the beneficial impact of high-level meeting within the official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov to the Russian Federation in November last year, on the activation of bilateral cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. In particular, he noted that one of the positive results of bilateral cooperation was the provision of material and technical assistance by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs on a gratuitous basis for a total of more than 26 million rubles.

Also, as part of the reforming measures, Asanov expressed the interest of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in studying the experience of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on police ativities.

Ambassador Krutko noted the positive dynamics of cooperation between the two ministries. He also noted the importance of signing a bilateral intergovernmental agreement on the legal status of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the two states.
