Kyrgyz Prime Minister meets with his Kazakh counterpart

Bishkek, March 6 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Zheenbekov today met with this Kazakh counterpart Bakytzhan Sagintayev, who arrived in Bishkek to participate in a regular meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental council on March 7 within the framework of the Kyrgyz Republic's chairmanship in the Eurasian Economic Union.

Sooronbay Zheenbekov greeted the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev and noted that this year Kyrgyzstan will hold a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Council of the EEU in Bishkek with the participation of the presidents of member-states.

The Head of Government noted with satisfaction that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

"Also it turns 20 years to the Treaty on eternal friendship between our countries. In the context of these jubilee dates, a number of important events are planned at the highest level. I am confident that they will be successful," Zheenbekov said.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev thanked Sooronbay Zheenbekov for a warm welcome. He said that the discussion of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the EEU is held on an ongoing basis.

"Today there are a number of issues that require discussion in terms of expanding trade and economic cooperation, transport and logistics and other relevant topics of bilateral cooperation," Bakytzhan Sagintayev said.
