BISHKEK, October 15, 2017 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan hosts presidential elections today, October 15.
According to the latest data of the State Registration Service, 3,025,902 people will vote in Kyrgyzstan. 2,908,453 of these will vote throughout Kyrgyzstan. There are 18 580 voters abroad.
Kyrgyzstanis staying abroad can vote at 37 polling stations opened on the territory of the embassies and consulates of the Kyrgyz Republic. Only those who have been registered at the consular department and have registered their biometric data will be able to vote. There are only 18,500 such citizens.
2,375 polling stations were opened at 8.00 am for voting in Kyrgyzstan. The Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic accredited about 700 international observers.
11 people are running for the main post of the country.
The polling stations will be closed at 8.00 pm, and the vote counting will begin.
