Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2018 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Oncological Assistance to the Population”, the press service of the President's Office reported.
The law was passed by the Parliament on Nov. 30, 2017.
The law was adopted with a purpose of eliminating contradictions in the legislation, as well as defining and clarifying powers of the Government to provide specialized medical and social assistance to citizens suffering from malignant neoplasms.
A number of changes in drafting and editing were introduced to the Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Oncological Assistance to the Population”.
The Law also specified the subjects of cancer care in the Kyrgyz Republic. Moreover the sources of funding for activities aimed at reducing cancer morbidity will be supplemented by means of compulsory medical health insurance.
The law enters into force after ten days from the day of its official publication.
