BISHKEK, Aug. 11, 2017 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev received Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Abdyldaev, the President's press service reported.
During the meeting, President Atambayev was informed about the ongoing work to develop key areas of the country's foreign policy. In particular, Erlan Abdyldaev reported on the results of the talks with the foreign ministers of several countries and the European Union, where topical issues of cooperation and the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level were discussed.
The Foreign Minister also talked about preparations for launching the electronic visa issuance system, which will allow foreign citizens to receive tourist and business visas of the Kyrgyz Republic on-line within three days from the date of application without having to contact the embassies and consulates of the country abroad. The system will be launched on September 1, 2017.
Atambayev gave a number of instructions to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding an effective foreign policy based on the national interests of the state.
