Osh, Nov.11, 2019 /Kabar/. The Youth Festival, dedicated to Kyrgyzstan’s Youth Day, celebrated on Nov. 10, took place in Osh on Nov. 6.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Altynai Omurbekova, Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports Kanat Amankulov, Vice Mayor of Osh Nurbek Kadyrov, Chairman of the City Council Zhaparbek Ormonov, representatives of international and public organizations, youth associations, youth from all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports, the Osh Mayor's Office, the Osh City Council awarded distinguished representatives of youth with diplomas and valuable gifts for their contribution to the social and economic development.
Within the framework of the event, presentations on "Sustainable Development Goals. Youth ambassadors of SDGs", "The role of youth in the development of statehood", "Education as a key factor in young entrepreneurs" and others were held.
The Festival also included performance of famous musicians and pop stars of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Note that the Youth Day is celebrated in Kyrgyzstan on Nov.10. The holiday was established in 2002 on the initiative of the Youth Development Corps (YDC) Public Association, and is timed to coincide with World Youth Day, celebrated each year on that day.
