Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2017. /Kabar/. Tomorrow Kyrgyzstaniz will pay tribute to the memory of the national writer of Kyrgyzstan Chyngyz Aitmatov. December 12th was his birthday.
The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. with laying of flowers at the monument to Aitmatov, located on the Ala-Too Square. Then conference will be organized at Kyrgyz State University. Its theme will be "And the day lasts for more than a century".
The event will be attended by workers of culture, teachers and students of Bishkek universities, as well as young leaders of the capital.
The organizers are the Fund” Eurasians-New Wave” and the History and Socio-Legal Education Department of Kyrgyz State University.
“Writer Chyngyz Aitmatov’s works reflect the artistically important philosophical and political truth,” said director of the Fund "Eurasians - New Wave" in the Kyrgyz Republic, Vladimir Liu.
"It is necessary to conduct such events constantly, so that our society would turn more to creative legacy of the great writer," Liu said.
Chyngyz Aitmatov was born on December 12, 1928. He died on June 10, 2008 in German city of Nuremberg hospital, where he was on treatment. He was buried on June 14 in the Ata-Beyit historical-memorial complex in Kyrgyzstan.
