Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2017 / Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev expressed deep concern about the nuclear test conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), and also called on Pyongyang to give up any further tests and join nuclear tests, Abdyldaev said this at the Conference of States that have ratified the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) in New York.
Kyrgyzstan remains committed to the goals of global disarmament and the prevention of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and is an active supporter of a world free of nuclear weapons, Abdyldaev said during his speech.
He said that since the adoption of the Treaty most of the world's countries have signed and ratified the document, but the multilateral instrument has not yet entered into force, due to the fact that some states have not yet ratified it.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Minister urged the remaining states to show the necessary political will and ratify the Treaty as soon as possible.
