Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan and ADB discuss further plans for cooperation

Bishkek, July 24 / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Eldar Abakirov met on July 21 with Director for the Central and West Asian Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Sean O'Sullivan and the Head of the ADB Representation in the Kyrgyz Republic Candice McDagan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, during the meeting the sides discussed the Strategy of Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and ADB for 2018-2022.

Abakirov informed that at present, at the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the development of a draft long-term strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2040 has been started. In addition, in parallel with this work, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic begins organizational arrangements for the development of the next 5-year development program of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The sides also discussed the implementation of the Second Investment Climate Improvement Program (Subprogramme 3), the possibility of cooperation in such areas as improving the conditions for doing business, regional development, public-private partnership.

In conclusion, the sides thanked each other for the meeting and expressed their hope for further effective cooperation.
