Bishkek, Oct.3, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev held meeting to discuss projects, implemented by the Community Development and Investment Agency (ARIS).
The press service of the Government reported that the Agency is currently working in such areas as water supply and sanitation, social infrastructure, community management of pastures and livestock, and is implementing 12 projects with a total value of over $ 205 million.
The prime minister noted today the issues of full provision of the population with clean drinking and irrigation water are acute, especially in the regions.
“Water is an invaluable resource for every country, so we must ensure its careful and rational use. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov gives priority to the issue of providing citizens with clean drinking and irrigation water. A comprehensive solution to this issue will improve the living conditions of ordinary citizens, as well as contribute to the development of agriculture,” Abylgaziev stressed.
He also stressed the importance of effective use of funds, raised for the reconstruction of water bodies and development of infrastructure.
PM Abylgaziyev entrusted heads of ministries and departments to activate the work with the Community Development and Investment Agency, and in two weeks to provide full information on the work being done and ways of solving existing problems.
