Bishkek, March 2, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan will organize AFC Women's Football Day 2018 on March 7, which was approved by the Asian Football Confederation, the press service of the Football Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The Kyrgyz Football Federation together with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) will mark the Women's Football Day in several cities of the republic this year. The events will begin on March 2.
According to the Program of Events, the first Women’s Football Day will start in Osh on March 2. On March 5-6 in Issyk Kul and on March 8-9 the event will be held in Bishkek.
UNICEF and the Kyrgyz Football Federation presented a Partnership Initiative aimed at informing about the rights of children back in 2016.
In 2016-2017 years, Tournaments of the National Team of the Kyrgyz Republic with the teams of Philippines, Lebanon, Turkmenistan and Macau were devoted to children with disabilities, the importance of family care for every child and the protection of rights of girls. In addition, UNICEF and the Kyrgyz Football Federation organized football competitions for more than 1,500 children and adolescents from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in border areas' schools to strengthen friendly ties between communities through sport in May 2017.
