BISHKEK, Aug. 14, 2017 /Kabar/. Task groups of joint Kyrgyz-Uzbek intergovernmental commission on delimitation and demarcation of state borders met in the Uzbek city of Namangan on August 5-13.
According to information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the sides continued to describe the line of the border in the areas on which the position coincide. Also they conducted a field survey and topographic survey work in selected areas of Kyrgyz-Uzbek border.
On the results of the meeting a protocol is signed.
Since the resumption of talks more than 15 meetings of task groups of government delegations were held from August 2016 to August 2017.
The length of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is 1 thousand 378 km and 320 of them are not specified.
