Kyrgyzstan, Slovenia to create parliamentary friendship group

Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2018 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Jusupov met yesterday with Chairman of the State Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Milan Brglez, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

During the conversation the sides discussed the issues related to further promotion of interparliamentary collaboration by establishing effective cooperation between the relevant interparliamentary friendship groups. Whereas, Brglez announced his intention to promote the issue of creating a parliamentary friendship group with Kyrgyzstan.

Jusupov informed about the internal political situation in Kyrgyzstan, in particular about the past presidential elections of the republic. In this regard, Brglez welcomed the positive achievements of the country in the electoral processes, which were positively evaluated by international observation missions.

The Ambassador discussed in detail the national project Taza Koom on the implementation of e-government and the provision of online services to the population, and drew attention to the great interest of the Slovenian business to participate in the components of Taza Koom. The sides also exchanged views on improvement and development of socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations between the countries.

Following the results of the meeting, Jusupov invited Slovenian parliamentarians to take part in the fall session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which will be held in Bishkek this year, and to send Slovenian delegation and athletes to participate in the Third World Nomadic Games.
