Kyrgyzstan interested in attracting Turkish investments in mining sector

Bishkek, Apr. 5, 2018 / Kabar /. Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulanbek Ryskulov met with Ambassador of Turkey to the Kyrgyz Republic Cengiz Kamil Firat.

The press service of the State Committee reported that during the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the current issues of the Kyrgyz-Turkish relations.

The Chairman of the State Committee briefed the Ambassador about priority branches of industry, investment opportunities of the mining industry, energy, and also the textile and clothing industry.

"Since Turkey is a key partner of UNIDO and assisted in implementation of projects for the organization of industrial parks, including in the textile and leather industry in your country, I would like to cooperate in sharing experience in this direction. In addition, the Kyrgyz side is interested in attracting Turkish investments in the mining, energy and other sectors," the chairman of the State Committee said.

The Turkish Ambassador proposed holding business forums with the participation of businessmen from the two countries. He also added that this summer it is planned to hold the event of "Turk Kenesh", where representatives of 5 Turk-speaking countries, including Kyrgyzstan, will be invited.

As a result of the meeting, the sides managed to agree on bilateral fruitful cooperation.
