Kyrgyzstan implements 20 out of 25 recommendations in fight against corruption

Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2017 / Kabar/. With the participation of the Security Council and the Government of Kyrgyzstan, our country fulfilled 20 out of 25 recommendations on the Istanbul plan for the eradication of corruption.

The head of the Prosecutor General's Office Sarbagysh uulu Tilek announced it during the Coordination Meeting (CM) of law enforcement, fiscal and other state bodies, local self-government bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic on anti-corruption issues.

Sarbagysh uulu Tilek stressed that the number of investigators of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes (SSCEC) increased by 14 people. The number of employees of State Committee for National Security (SCNS) increased by 33 to improve the fight against corruption


Prosecutor General's Office verified the procedural decisions of the SSCEC and the SCNS on the materials of the pre-investigation investigation of suspended and terminated criminal cases for 2016 and for the first half of 2017, Sarbagysh uulu told.

The Prosecutor General's Office in coordination with law enforcement agencies prepared a joint draft order to approve a single interagency form on corruption crimes reporting.
