Bishkek, July 20 / Kabar /. The economic indicators of Kyrgyzstan for the first half of 2017 are in leading positions among the countries participating in the Eurasian Economic Union on the GDP and industrial production growth rate, member of the Collegium of the Eurasian Economic Union on integration and macroeconomics, Tatyana Valovaya during the round table "Kyrgyzstan in the Eurasian Economic Union: results, issues and perspectives".
"Kyrgyzstan has been the undisputed leader in terms of GDP growth rate and industrial production growth rate among the EEU member countries since 2016, and of course the country's accession to the EEU influenced these factors. In 2017, Kyrgyzstan still maintains the highest growth rates of these indicators and takes very good positions in export deliveries to the common market of the EEU. In the future, we expect to continue this trend and are going to take all the necessary measures for this," Valovaya said.
She said that by the end of 2017, the intergovernmental council of the EEU member countries will present a report on the first results of Kyrgyzstan's participation in the Union, which will also indicate ways to improve the achieved indicators.
"The first year of Kyrgyzstan's participation in the alliance became difficult for all the members of the EEU, but even then the analysis showed that if we had not created the EEU and if Kyrgyzstan had not entered the union, the economic indicators for all our states would be worse. Because the fact of the existence of the union and the single economic space has minimized the consequences of the global financial and economic concussion. But already at the end of 2016 we saw absolutely clear signs of economic revival and stabilization, and we are very pleased that the indicators of 2017 confirm the positive dynamics of the development of union relations " Valovaya said.
