Kyrgyzstan approves Food and Processing Industry Development Program for 2017-2021

Bishkek, April 1 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Zheenbekov signed a decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic according to which the Food and Processing Industry Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2017-2021 is approved. The press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported.

The decision was taken in pursuance of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of the country for 2013-2017, as well as for the sustainable development of the food and processing industry, full use of existing production capacities.

The main objective of the Program is to ensure the guaranteed and sustainable supply of safe and quality food products to the population of the country, through the development of the food and processing industry, the achievement of stability in the development of domestic sources of food and raw materials.

The Program is designed to create the necessary conditions for the modernization of industry, to solve financial and economic and social problems, to promote the implementation of goals of socio-economic development of the republic until 2021.
