Bishkek, July 31 / Kabar /. Negotiations between the delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the delimitation of the state border, which lasted for 9 days, were completed in Bishkek.
According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, during the talks the sides continued a joint work on the description of certain sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border, on which the positions coincide. As a result of the negotiations, a protocol was signed.
Negotiations took place in a constructive atmosphere, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Zheenbekov heard the information of the leaders of the delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on the border issues Ilkhom Nematov and Kurbanbay Iskandarov.
During his stay in Bishkek, the head of the Uzbek delegation Ilkhom Nematov also met with Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhenish Razakov.
The total length of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is 1.378 thousand kilometers, 320 of which are not delimited.
