Bishkek, July 26 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Ratification of the Agreement on the Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Georgia signed on October 13, 2016 in Tbilisi", the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported.
The law was adopted by the Kyrgyz Parliament on June 21, 2017.
The main purpose of this agreement is the creation of a legal framework in the field of attracting foreign direct investments, which aims to ensure the protection of rights and interests by creating favorable conditions for them and reducing the possible risks associated with investment.
Ratification of this agreement is an important element in the expansion of bilateral economic ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and Georgia and contributes to an increase in the inflow of foreign direct investment into the economy of our country.
The law enters into force ten days after the day of its official publication.
