Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan agreed to continue work on intensifying bilateral relations

Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2017 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev held a bilateral meeting in Samarkand on Nov. 10 with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan S.Rabbani in the framework of the International Conference on Security and Sustainable Development in Central Asia under the auspices of the United Nations "Central Asia: One Past and a Common future, cooperation for sustainable development and mutual prosperity ".

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that, during the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Kyrgyz-Afghan relations, in which special attention was paid to expanding and deepening cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, including supporting ethnic Kyrgyz residing in the territory of the Small and Great Pamirs of Afghanistan.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly continue work on the activation of bilateral ties, including the exchange of visits at the highest levels and the expansion of the legal framework between the two countries.
