Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2017 / Kabar/. The works of the great Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, translated into Korean will possibly be passed to Aitmatov Center located at the National Library, the National Library press service reported.
Today, Ambassador of Korea in Kyrgyzstan Jong Beng Hu handed the Korean Center at the National Library a collection of books, as well as DVDs and CDs in Korean and English.
Ambassador met with readers and employees of the National Library. During the meeting he said that these books will be of interest to young people and all those who are interested in Korean culture and literature.
Jong Beng Hu stressed the Literature Day in Kyrgyzstan, which is directly connected with the name of the great writer Chyngyz Aitmatov. 10 works of the writer have been translated into the Korean language. The ambassador told he will try to transfer them to the Aitmatov Center in future.
National library director Zhyldyz Bakashova thanked the Ambassador for the constant attention and support to the library that the Embassy of Korea in Kyrgyzstan is providing. She suggested the Ambassador of discussing to conduct a photo-documentary exhibition on Korean culture, literature and history.
