Bishkek, Sept. 5, 2017 / Kabar /. The border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan should be turned into a border of friendship, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said during the narrow format meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev within the framework of his state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Mirziyoyev said that the agreement on the border will be signed today. "We said that these borders should be turned into the borders of friendship," he said.
He said that there was never such a visit with such a delegation.
"We want our parliaments to meet. This is the basis of diplomacy. We also brought akims of 4 regions. They are from the border areas and from Tashkent. We sincerely want our governors and akims to resolve the issues themselves without asking for permission. We brought a large group of entrepreneurs. A big forum has held today, and as I was told, the sides have good desires to trade together and produce competitive products," the Uzbek leader added.
