At the meeting, Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev spoke about the work that was carried out within the framework of cooperation and interaction within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

The Kyrgyz minister said that, the main emphasis in the ongoing year was made on cooperation and interaction of Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the EEU. Abdyldaev emphasized the fact that Kyrgyzstan in the outgoing year presided in the Eurasian Economic Union.

"Many issues that are on the agenda, including those initiated by the Kyrgyz side, are being lifted. There are some issues that still exist, but there is a common understanding of all the countries of the Union that it is important for Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, which joined the integration association recently, to get the maximum benefits from participation in this association," the Kyrgyz foreign minister said.

The Foreign Minister drew attention to the fact that a lot of attention was paid to protecting the rights and interests of our legal entities and individuals abroad, especially those working in the EEU in Russia and Kazakhstan.

"Thanks to the position of our president and due to the positive attitude and understanding on the part of the Russian side, the issue raised by our citizens about using our driving licenses in Russia was lifted," the minister added.

The Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic also added the fact that this year Kyrgyzstan opened an honorary consulate in Armenia, in the cities of Tomsk, Ufa and South Sakhalinsk of the Russian Federation. "Of course, there are a lot of Kyrgyz citizens in the Russian Federation, and they face various kinds of problems in which it is necessary to provide them with appropriate assistance," Abdyldaev explained.

He said that, where there are diplomatic missions of the Kyrgyz Republic, they are actively involved, where they do not exist, certified lawyers work there. "We have made a list of certified lawyers who will provide relevant advice to our citizens. And this system starts to work very well, especially those lawyers who are involved, they worked very long time with our diplomatic missions," Erlan Abdyldaev concluded.
