Bishkek, Feb.15, 2018 / Kabar /. The film of the famous Kyrgyz Filmmaker, Ernest Abdyjaparov Sayakbay-Homer of the XX century was shown at the International Filmmakers Festival in London, the press service of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Great Britain reported.
The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Great Britain, as well as representatives of the team of the filmmaker- Aizada Omuralieva and Aigul Kydyralieva took part in the event.
The life and work of Sayakbay Karalayev, an outstanding narrator of the Kyrgyz epic Manas are screened in the film. The character of the Kyrgyz great writer Chyngyz Aitmatov also appeared in the film.
The choice of Abdyjaparov's film from many other films testifies of high opinion of the works of Kyrgyz cinema by Jury of the International Filmmakers Festival.
The London International Filmmakers Festival taking place from Feb. 10 to 17 is one of the most popular festivals in Europe. Participants of the festival are both experienced and young, talented filmmakers.
It was very interesting for the Western audience to learn about the history and life of the Kyrgyz people, the life of the famous narrator, the famous Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, the representatives of the Kyrgyz cinematographers shared their opinion during screening of the film.
Earlier the film Sayakbay -Homer of the XX century was awarded at the Montreal Film Festival and received a Visual Innovative Award for the Transfer of Oral Traditions and Golden Meridian.
