Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2018 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz film Father’s Will received the Prize of Press at the II International Film Festival named after Vyacheslav Tikhonov 17 Moments ... in Russia.
The Film Festival was held in Pavlovsky Posad from Feb. 8 to 11, the film maker Dastan Japar uulu told Kabar News Agency. This year the Festival is timed to the 90th anniversary of actor Tikhonov's birthday.
The concept of the festival is patriotic, spiritual and moral upbringing. The development of the genre of the film corresponds to the personality of the actor, the organizers said.
Within the framework of the festival two competitions were organized: full-length films and film series. The winners were determined by the professional jury and the audience by voting.
Vyacheslav Tikhonov was a Soviet and Russian actor of theater and cinema. He was a Hero of Socialist Labor and People's Actor of the USSR. He also was a laureate of the Lenin Prize and the USSR State Prize.
Father’s Will is a social drama directed by Bakyt Mukul and Dastan Japar uulu, which touches upon the issue of migration not only of the Kyrgyz people but of all modern society as a whole.
