Kyrgyz and Turkmen FMs discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2017 /Kabar/. In Samarkand, Uzbekistan, within the framework of the meeting of the foreign ministers in the EU-CA format, Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldayev held a bilateral meeting with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, as well as discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Turkmen relations in the political, water-energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres within the framework of international and regional organizations.

The foreign ministers noted the need to promote, first of all, the issues of trade and economic cooperation and the opening of direct air communication between Bishkek and Ashgabat.
