Bishkek, March 30 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldayev met with Foreign Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida during his visit to Japan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
The sides emphasized with satisfaction the high level of partnership reached by the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and discussed the state and prospects for bilateral cooperation.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude for the great and varied assistance rendered to Kyrgyzstan during the years of independence and the contribution of the Government and the people of Japan to the social and economic development of our country.
Fumio Kishida stressed that Japan will continue to its support for sustainable development in Kyrgyzstan, which has chosen a parliamentary model of the political system. "Our countries successfully develop relations as partners in democracy, and we are interested in further deepening of cooperation," the Japanese minister said.
Erlan Abdyldaev stressed the readiness to discuss all the pressing issues in bilateral relations, in the spirit of partnership and mutual respect.
The Kyrgyz side also emphasized Japan's great achievements in countering natural disasters. In this connection, the Japanese Foreign Minister stressed the importance of the two grant agreements signed by the parties during the current visit on the projects "Avalanche Protection on Bishkek-Osh Road" and "Improvement of workshops for maintenance of road maintenance equipment previously received from the Japanese side" worth $ 47 million. In his opinion, the implementation of these projects will not only contribute to enhancing Kyrgyzstan's ability to early warning, preventing and combating natural disasters, but will also give an additional impetus to the development of infrastructure and the strengthening of the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
Minister Abdildayev told about favorable conditions in Kyrgyzstan for attracting Japanese companies with unique experience and technologies.
In conclusion, Abdyldaev invited Kishida to visit Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time with the aim of strengthening the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries aimed at the future.
