Bishkek, May 6 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz and Chinese Foreign Ministers Erlan Abdyldaev and Wang Yi held an extended talks within the framework of the official visit of Kyrgyz Minister to China on May 5, 2017, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
During the talks the sides exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral relations, international issues, cooperation between the two countries in matters of regional security and cooperation within the framework of international organizations. The foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and China highly assessed the level of political trust between the countries, reached a consensus on promoting bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic spheres and in the field of security.
The sides noted that at present Kyrgyz-Chinese relations are experiencing the best stage of their development and identified new goals and tasks for medium and long-term perspectives of cooperation development across the whole range of relations between Kyrgyzstan and China. They also considered specific mechanisms for implementing agreements reached at various levels focusing on the issues of combating terrorism and extremism. The sides also discussed the issues of obtaining Chinese visas for Kyrgyz citizens, as well as problems of cargo carriers from Kyrgyzstan.
Following the talks, the foreign ministers signed the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China for 2018-2019.
Agreements were reached that are designed to give an additional impetus to the progressive development and further strengthening of the relations of good-neighborliness, friendship, cooperation and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China.
