Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2018 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov is reported on the preparation for possible consequences of abnormal cold weather in the country.
Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov informed the President about the implementation of special preventive measures for prompt response to emergencies that may be due to the forthcoming cold weather, preparations for possible spring floods, mudflows, landslide processes.
Jeenbekov said that the situation on the mountain passes, remote mountain regions and main roads of the country should be under constant control of the Emergencies Ministry, regardless of weather conditions and precipitation.
The head of state also stressed that before the onset of the flood season, it is necessary to begin work to strengthen the dams of large rivers in order to protect settlements from emergencies in connection with weather changes.
Boronov stressed that the Ministry of Emergency Situations is working together with relevant ministries and departments, state administration bodies in the regions in all directions indicated by the head of state.
Emergencies Minister Boronov said that the storm warning about the forthcoming cold weather in Kyrgyzstan is widespread. "All civil protection services are prepared and warned," said the Minister.
He also added that because of the cold, electrical networks, boiler rooms, heating mains could be damaged. "All services received relevant information in order to be prepared for possible consequences," Boronov said.
