"The most important factor of the country's economic development is the prosperity of the regions. The impetus for their development will be the implementation of the Decree on the Announcement of 2018 as the Year of Regional Development. Batken region has difficult living conditions. Nonetheless special attention has been paid from the state’s side to the Batken oblast in recent years, this practice will be continued. Our goal is to reduce migration by creating necessary conditions in the village for farmers and local entrepreneurs, supporting small and medium-sized businesses," Jeenbekov said.
The Head of State stressed that processing enterprises will be built in the regions, so that not a single product grown by farmers will remain unprocessed. "In order to support entrepreneurs at the local level, the state is assisting in obtaining concessional loans through financial instruments, such as State Banks, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, the Guarantee Fund. Financial resources will be distributed fairly across all regions. It is better to engage in agriculture at home, to keep cattle rather than being a migrant abroad. For this purpose we must create conditions for a comfortable life in the villages,"Jeenbekov said.
