Bishkek, Apr. 17, 2018 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov received chairman of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Ularbek Sharsheyev, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.
The situation and issues of regulation of emerging problems at the state border were discussed.
The head of state was informed about the ongoing work to protect the state border, as well as the current situation on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek and Kyrgyz-Tajik borders, in connection with recent incidents in these areas.
In addition, Sharsheyev reported on the progress in the implementation of a number of instructions of the President on improving the activities of the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic and improving the procedure for passing citizens across the border.
The Head of State instructed to take organizational and technical measures to prevent uncontrolled violations of the state border of Kyrgyzstan, especially in the areas near the border line where the locals live.
Jeenbekov set the task of the department to conduct explanatory work among the local population of border regions on observing the state border regime to prevent various conflicts. Together with the border agencies of neighboring countries, to seek compliance with the regime of the border and the line of conduct of servicemen.
Taking into account the increase in passenger and cargo traffic on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek section of the border, the president instructed to continue the implementation of measures to prevent the accumulation of people and vehicles at checkpoints.
Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Damir Sagynbaev, adviser to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhenish Razakov also took part in the meeting.
