Jeenbekov: I promised the people to fight injustice and I will keep my words

The law enforcement and supervisory bodies should strike a main blow to corruption, but in reality this does not happen, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov have such an assessment to the work of the above-mentioned bodies at a meeting of the Security Council.

According to the analysis, voiced by the head of state, over the past two years, law enforcement agencies have initiated more than 76 thousand criminal cases. Of these, only 30% were sent to court.

"Only 12% of the criminals were convicted out of the initiated criminal cases. 656 cases were initiated unlawfully. No one answered for the warped fate of ordinary victims of citizens, the undermined health, the suffering of their families, "Jeenbekov said.

The President also said that 43% of the total number of cases were terminated or reduced by the investigation. Of these, 85% were terminated due to the absence of suspects in the commission of a crime.

"The people elected me. I promised the people to fight injustice, and I am ready to keep my words and eradicate such negative facts in our society," Jeenbekov said.
